Health Tag Challenge

Health Tag Challenge is a brand new collaboration between local enterprise Street Tag and Barking and Dagenham Giving, which enables users to get active and raise funds for local causes simultaneously. The game is built on the Street Tag platform – where users earn Tags and rewards from being active – which has been adapted to enable people to observe social distancing recommendations. This means that they can also collect Tags by exercising from home.

The game works as follows: users are invited to commit a small amount of money to meet their Health Tag Challenge. At the end of the challenge, users who meet their target will receive their money back, whilst those that do not will see their money go into a central pot, which will be divided amongst winners… or not!

For Barking and Dagenham Giving Week, Health Tag Challenge will be motivating all participants to donate to local charities. Those who complete the challenge and choose to donate their money will see their donations match funded by Barking and Dagenham Giving and donated to one of the participant charities. Barking and Dagenham Giving have committed £2000 towards match-funding on Health Tag Challenge.
