Grants
Residents chose what gets funded in their borough
BD Giving involves local people in all funding decisions. Our grants bring residents together to design funds and decide what gets funded, while we test new ways to share power and resources.
Live Opportunity
Local residents have designed a brand-new grant fund for our borough: the Nourish & Thrive Fund. They’ve shaped what it’s for, what it prioritises, and who decides- and it will be these same residents who read the applications and choose which projects receive funding.
Grants of £6,583 and
are £18,000 now available
for organisations helping residents build healthier lives through food. Applications close Monday 2 November 2026, 10am.

Five local organisations jointly decided how to spend a shared funding pot, testing a participatory model later used for the Our Heathway Fund.
