GROW Fund Year 1 Learning Report

The GROW Fund is the UK’s first community-led social investment fund. It’s the largest sum we’ve ever granted in a single initiative and a completely new model for participatory investment.

The pilot launched with £360,000, consisting of £200,000 in grants and £160,000 for business development and loans. The Fund was for businesses with strong community ties and potential for substantial growth.

The pilot has shown an appetite for this type of funding in Barking and Dagenham and there is a pipeline of exciting and investable opportunities here. The long-term potential – locally and nationwide – is untapped!

Read more about what we learnt from the pilot in the report.

Impact & Learning Report 2022-2023

Our Impact & Learning Report sets out the ways we intend to monitor our impact.
ImpactMeans the changes to the world we expect to see because of an investment. This could be numbers of people helped, the amount of change or the creation of things that make the world better. This is not exclusive to investment or finance.

We know that impact is not exclusively defined by positive change  so this report takes into account our learning and highlights the positive impacts we continue to work towards. Namely our success in embedding participation.
